OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Blue (16-5) defeated the Canton Charge (7-12), 106-102, on Saturday night.

With 21.5 seconds left and the score tied at 102-all, Deonte Burton drove to the basket for the go-ahead layup. Oklahoma City forced a turnover on the other end and Burton converted two free throws to propel Oklahoma City to victory.

Burton scored 11 of his 19 points in a second half that featured nine ties and 19 lead changes. It was his fourth straight game in double figures.

"It's always a 48-minute game [and] 48 minutes is a long time," Head Coach Mark Daigneault said. "A lot can happen and there are going to be runs, [but] we have a team that is pretty tough, persevering, and resilient."

Oklahoma City trailed by as many as 15 in the opening quarter but managed to cut the deficit to 58-55 at halftime thanks to 10 three-pointers in the first half.

Bryce Alford led the way for Oklahoma City with 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting from beyond the arc, while KJ McDaniels added 18 points, six rebounds and four blocks off the bench.

Abdul Gaddy recorded his fourth double-double this season with 12 points and 13 assists, as the Blue bested the Charge in assists, 29-19.

Canton had five players in double figures, led by Kobi Simmons who had 25 points.

Up next, the Blue heads west to face the South Bay Lakers next on January 3 at 9 p.m. CST at the UCLA Health Training Center.
