Offensive Barrage from Skyforce too Much for Wolves

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (7-15) were unable to keep pace with the Sioux Falls Skyforce (14-7) Sunday evening, dropping a 129-114 contest at Wells Fargo Arena.

The 129 points allowed defensively was the second-highest total given up this season by Iowa. As a team the Skyforce shot a season-high 54.8% (23-42) from the three-point line and just missed a season-high in made three-point baskets (24).

William Lee paced the Wolves offensively with 24 points and 10 rebounds while recording his third double-double in as many games. The affiliate forward has averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds in his last three games.

Jonathan Stark poured in 23 points and a team-high eight assists in his second-highest scoring output of the season. The Murray State product finished 9-of-15 from the field.

As a team the Wolves shot 45.0% from the field but struggled from deep, finishing 10-of-35 from beyond the arc.

Guards Canyon Barry and C.J. Williams each tallied 19 points in the loss. Williams added eight rebounds and a team-high three three-pointers made.

Two-way forward Yante Maten poured in a game-high 29 points while shooting 11-of-16 from the floor and 3-of-4 from deep. Seven of the nine active Skyforce players finished in double figures.

Iowa returns to Wells Fargo Arena for Hoops & Howls Night on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 7:00 p.m. to take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
