November 28, 2018 - NBA G League (G League)
Capital City Go-Go News Release
The Washington Wizards announced today that the team has assigned recently acquired forward Okaro White to the Capital City Go-Go, the team's NBA G League affiliate.
White appeared in 23 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in 2016-17, averaging 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game and was selected as a Western Conference All-Star. White appeared in six games with the Miami Heat last season prior to suffering a broken left foot. He was signed to a contract with the Wizards last week and has appeared in one game with the team.
White will fill Devin Robinson's roster void, who will travel with the Wizards to New Orleans and Philadelphia. Robinson led the Go-Go in scoring last weekend, scoring a season-high 29 points in each of his two games against the Canton Charge. Robinson holds averages of 20.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season.
It was also announced today that Oleksandr Kobets will be participating with the Ukrainian National Team in its FIBA World Cup Qualifying games on November 29 against Slovenia and December 2 against Spain.
Kobets joins Chasson Randle (USA) as the second member of the Go-Go to participate in FIBA World Cup Qualifying games. Randle will play in Argentina on November 29 and Uruguay on December 2. Randle and Kobets will each be unavailable for Capital City's trip to Maine on Saturday, December 1.
Kobets has appeared in three games this season for the Go-Go after being claimed off waivers after the draft. Kobets will play next to Wizards' 2018 second-round draft pick and Summer League participant, Issuf Sanon, on the Ukrainian National Team.
To fill Kobets' roster spot, the Go-Go have re-acquired Quinton Chievous, who participated in Go-Go training camp.
