Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Guard Trayvon Palmer

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, announced today that the team has acquired guard Trayvon Palmer via the available player pool. Palmer, who wears number 24, will be eligible to play this Friday, November 30 against the Texas Legends at Kaiser Permanente Arena (tip-off 7:00 p.m.) and broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area.

Palmer (6'6, 200) began the 2018-19 NBA G League season with the Santa Cruz Warriors as a tryout candidate before being released on October 30. Palmer played most recently for the Worchester Wolves of the British Basketball League, averaging 14.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 36 games (all starts) in 2017-18. He played collegiately for three seasons at Chicago State University, where he averaged 15.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.50 steals in 32 games (all starts) in his 2016-17 senior season.

Palmer joins the team after Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson was selected to the Mexican National Team, which begins play in the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup Americas Qualifying Round tomorrow night, November 29, at 5:30 p.m. PST against Panama at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City.

The Santa Cruz Warriors will host back-to-back games against the Texas Legends this weekend at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The first 1,500 fans to arrive this Friday, November 30 will receive a Draymond Green Bobblehead, with the team hosting a Plantronics Charitable Jersey Night on Saturday, December 1, with monetary donations and a postgame jersey auction benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank's Holiday Food Drive.
