Delaware Blue Coats News Release

NEWARK, DE - The Delaware Blue Coats (4-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, defeated the Wisconsin Herd (1-9), 108-106, on Wednesday night at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, DE. A Cameron Oliver dunk with 3.5 seconds remaining proved to be the game-winning basket for the Blue Coats, winners of four of their last five contests.

76ers two-way player Shake Milton scored a team-high 32 points in 36 minutes for the Blue Coats, while Haywood Highsmith posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in 38 minutes. Oliver finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes.

"I think [Shake] helped us," said head coach Connor Johnson. "He kind of carried the load in the fourth quarter. Scoring 32 points, he showed his well-rounded offensive skill-set. It was good to see him succeed. It's good to see all of our guys succeed. We know how talented Shake is and you can feel him getting more comfortable with himself, and that's great."

Former Delaware players Christian Wood and James Young paced the Wisconsin offense. Wood, on assignment from the Milwaukee Bucks, scored a game-high 33 points with 11 rebounds in 36 minutes. Young finished with 27 points and 7 rebounds in 36 minutes. Delaware-native Trevon Duval added 18 points in 38 minutes for the Herd.

Next up for the Blue Coats is a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Canton Charge, in Ohio, at 2:00 p.m. The team returns to the Bob Carpenter Center on Monday, Dec. 3 for an 11:00 a.m. tip-off with the Westchester Knicks. The Grand Opening of 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4 at 7:00 p.m.
