Tulsa Oilers News Release
Ring In 2011: The Tulsa Oilers, who have won 12 of their last 15 games, wrap up 2010 and start 2011 with a busy four week slate of games. The Oilers host Missouri Tuesday at 7:05 p.m., travel to Allen Friday at 7:30 p.m. host Texas Saturday in a matinee game time that has been changed to 3 p.m., and will host Allen on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All games can be accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and CHL TV.
Holiday Split: The Oilers split their two games last week, suffering their second shutout of the season in a 4-0 loss to the Texas Brahmas. They rebounded with a 6-5 win over Wichita on Saturday.
Short Stuff: The Oilers are tied for the CHL lead (with Odessa) in shorthanded goals with eight. The Oilers have given up only one shorthanded goal against this season.
Nice Start: Left winger Anthony Battaglia played his first game for the Oilers on Saturday and had the Oilers third goal of the game and assisted on the fourth goal.
Moving Up: Chad Costello is now tied for fourth in the CHL in scoring with 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points in 30 games.
Special K: Goaltender Ian Keserich ranks second in wins in the CHL with 12 (one behind the league leaders) and is tied for the league led in shutouts with two.
