Tulsa Oilers News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - The Oilers jumped on the Sundogs early on Saturday night and held on late for their second straight 4-3 victory over Arizona. Tulsa improves to 14-8-2 on the season and has won three games in a row for the second time this season.

Dylan Clarke opened the scoring for the visitors at the 10:41 mark of the first period. Clarke scored for the second night in a row and the Oilers took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

The middle period was dominated by Tulsa which got goals from Troy Ofukany and a pair from Ryan Cramer, both coming on sharp passes from Mike Ullrich. Cramer's second of the period came with the Oilers on the powerplay.

Trailing 4-1, the Sundogs waited until late in the third period to make their move. Adam Smyth snuck a puck past Ian Keserich to pull the home side within two at the 17:39 mark.

With 46 seconds remaining and the goalie pulled, Kyle Hood tipped David Nimmo's shot past Keserich to make things interesting. From there, the Oilers shut the door and held on for the victory.

Keserich was brilliant, stopping 47 of the 50 shots he faced. The Oilers netminder picked up his 12th win of the season.

The Oilers now lead the season series with Arizona 2-1 with one meeting remaining. Tulsa gets a few days off before another road trip to Bloomington on December 23rd.
