Tulsa Oilers News Release

TULSA, OK - Trailing 2-1 entering the third period, the Tulsa Oilers rallied for two goals in the final frame to complete a comeback victory over the Texas Brahmas.

Jeff Terminsi tied the game at two with a powerplay goal at the 12:15 mark of the third. Just 1:19 later, Marty Standish fired a wrist shot that was stopped by Steve Silverthorn but the rebound was put in by Dylan Clarke the go ahead goal. It was Clarke's first professional goal and the Oilers were able to hang on down the stretch to improve to 3-1 on the season. Texas fell to 0-3 and has managed to score just 3 goals in 3 games.

Ian Keserich had another solid start in goal for the Oilers stopping 21 of 23 shots. One night after giving up 50 shots and 6 goals to Wichita, the Oilers bounced back with a very solid defensive effort and limited the scoring chances of the Brahmas who went 0-4 on the powerplay.

Sean Erickson opened the scoring on the powerplay for Tulsa at 2:24 of the second period but the Brahmas bounced back quickly with goals by Phil Fox and Calin Wild to take the lead into the third period.

Tulsa trailed after two periods for the first time all season and finished their first home stand of the season with a record of 1-1. The Oilers travel down to Texas to take on the Brahmas tomorrow afternoon at 4:05pm.
