TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

*Time To Go Ape: *The Tulsa Oilers host the Amarillo Gorillas tonight in the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

*Records: *Oilers are 12-10-1 for 25 points in third place in the North Conference.

Amarillo is 8-14-4 for 20 points in seventh place in the South Conference.

*Season Series: *This is the first of four meetings between the two teams this season. The teams place twice in Tulsa and twice in Amarillo.

*Recent Action: *The Oilers dropped a 4-2 decision to Arizona on Sunday. Amarillo lost 9-2 to Odessa on Sunday.

*Something's Gotta Give: *Both of these teams have struggled lately. The Oilers have lost seven straight games. Amarillo has lost five straight, with the first in that string being a shootout loss.

*Close Calls*: Prior to Sunday's loss to Odessa, Amarillo had played six straight games that were decided by one goal. Amarillo went 1-3-2 in those six games.

*Cann Do: *The Oilers have reached an agreement with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey league which has goaltender Trevor Cann assigned to Tulsa for a five game try out. Lake Erie is the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche who drafted Cann in the second round (49^th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

*Roster Moves: *In addition to Cann, the Oilers also have signed rookie forward Mike Willemsen. He played four years at Clarkson University and has suited up for both Texas and Allen this season. He had a hat trick for Allen in a 4-2 win over Arizona on November 19. In a combined seven CHL games this season, Willemsen has three goals and no assists and is +1. Forward Thomas Harrison is also expected to make his Oilers debut tonight as Rick Kozak has been placed on injured reserve. Earlier this week, the Oilers swapped defensemen with Missouri, acquiring Tyler Fleck for Tom Maldonado and future considerations.

*Next Up: *The Oilers will conclude this four game homestand, hosting the Rapid City Rush tomorrow night at 7:35. Amarillo returns home to host Laredo tomorrow.
