AHL Goaltender Joins Oilers

The Tulsa Oilers have entered an agreement with the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League, that has goaltender Trevor Cann assigned to the Oilers. He has signed a five game contract with the Oilers.

The Colorado Avalanche selected the 20-year old Cann in the second round (49th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey with Peterborough and London of the Ontario Hockey league, and had save percentages ranging from .906 to .926.

In 10 starts with Lake Erie in the AHL this season he has one shutout, a record of 2-5-1, goals against average of 3.72 and a .878 save percentage.

Cann and the Oilers host the Amarillo Gorillas tonight at 7:35 at the BOK Center. It is the start of a three game weekend for the Oilers who will host Rapid City on Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and play at Bossier-Shreveport Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
