Edmonton Oil Kings News Release

(Edmonton, AB) - With both the hockey and school season upon us, the Edmonton Oil Kings will again be joining classrooms to participate in READ IN Week as special guests to help spark youth's passion for literacy and celebrate their joy of reading. READ IN Week marks a special time of the school year for students in Edmonton and surrounding areas. While children are often taught the importance of reading from their parents and teachers, READ IN Week provides a unique opportunity for special guests to help ignite their passion for literacy.

This year, Edmonton Oil Kings players will be visiting select schools for READ IN Week during the week of October 1 - 5.

Focusing on Kindergarten through Grade 3, elementary school teachers in Edmonton and surrounding areas are encouraged to fill out the application form below for the chance to have a member of the Edmonton Oil Kings visit their classroom to be part of this exciting educational experience.

Registration begins today, Wednesday, September 19 and will close on Wednesday, September 26 at 5:00 PM MT.
