Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs debuted at sixth place in the CHL Top 10 rankings (pre-season edition), as announced by the Canadian Hockey League on Wednesday afternoon.
The list, which ranks the top teams across the entire CHL - including the WHL, OHL and QMJHL - includes three WHL teams: the Lethbridge Hurricanes at #3, Spokane at #6 and the Portland Winterhawks at #7. The Vancouver Giants also received an honorable mention.
The ranking comes after the Chiefs finished their 2018 WHL pre-season schedule with a 4-1-1-0 record, including back-to-back wins over the rival Tri-City Americans. They are set to begin their regular season schedule against the same Americans squad on Saturday night in Kennewick.
Spokane was last listed in the CHL Top 10 during the 2o13-14 season.
