
O'Hoppe Promoted to Double-A Reading

BlueClaws catcher Logan O'Hoppe is on his way to Double-A. The Long Island native was promoted to Reading on Wednesday.
O'Hoppe finishes his time with the BlueClaws at .271 with 13 home runs and 48 RBIs. He also threw out 25 potential base-stealers, in 80 attempts (31%), tied for the second most among all High-A catchers and tied for the fifth most among all Minor League Baseball catchers this season.
He hit the first home run in Jersey Shore BlueClaws history on Opening Night, May 4th against Hudson Valley.
O'Hoppe joins Bryson Stott and Jhailyn Ortiz, who hit second and third right in front of O'Hoppe, in the Opening Night lineup, as teammates on the Fightin' Phils.
O'Hoppe is the #12 prospect in the organization per MLB Pipeline. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 23rd round of the 2018 draft out of St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, New York.
