Hudson Valley Renegades News Release
The Hudson Valley Renegades picked up their 61st win of 2021 with a 4-0 shutout over the Winston-Salem Dash on Wednesday night in North Carolina.
Josh Maciejewski threw 6.2 innings, allowing just two hits and one walk with seven strikeouts to improve to 6-4 on the season. Charlie Ruegger and Freicer Perez worked the final 2.1 innings to finish off the three-hitter.
The Dash (36-61) failed to get a runner past second base.
Offensively, Hudson Valley (61-36) was led by Jake Sanford, who hit his fifth home run of the season -- a two-run shot -- in the sixth. Newcomer Carlos Narvaez drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth while James Nelson brought in his 38th RBI with a ground out in the same frame.
The two teams continue the series on Thursday in Winston-Salem.
Per the State of New York, the Renegades are now open at 100% capacity. Tickets continue to be a tremendous value starting as low as $6. Visit HVRenegades.com for ticket information and so much more.
