OHL this Week
November 13, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) News Release
Toronto, ON - Ontario Hockey League action heads into the eighth week of the regular season schedule with 22 games beginning tonight through Sunday followed by Game 4 of the CHL Canada Russia Series featuring Team OHL in Windsor on Monday night.
Here's a look at what's going on around the league:
AT THE RINKS:
IceDogs launch 'Just Stop It' campaign on Friday: The Niagara IceDogs are determined to take a bite out of bullying. The Dogs will be initiating a challenge to fans attending their Friday night game against Ottawa, asking them to help Just Stop It. There will be a Just Stop It sign on every seat in the building and fans are encouraged to join in taking a stand against bullying during the mid-period break of the first period by silently standing and holding up their sign. During and after the game fans are also asked to take a photo with their Just Stop It sign, share it across their social media channels and then pass along the sign to a friend and ask them to do the same. The hope is that with this effort the IceDogs can take a social epidemic that has been fueled by social media and flip the script by using social media to help put an end to it. For full details visit niagaraicedogs.net.
Fronts host 'Girls Rock' Night, welcome new friend on Friday: The Kingston Frontenacs will focus on Girls Minor Hockey in Kingston on Friday at home to the Hamilton Bulldogs, and welcome a dog of their own to the Rogers K-Rock Centre. The first 1,000 fans to enter the Memorial Gardens will receive rally towels so don't delay on Sunday!
