
Off to Best Start Ever, Zephyrs Return Home Saturday

Metairie, LA - Off to the best start in the team's 20 seasons in New Orleans, the Zephyrs return home to open an eight-game homestand on Saturday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m. against the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the two-time American League champion Texas Rangers, with a postgame concert featuring Mini Madonna.
The Zephyrs hit the 15-game mark of the season with a record of 11-4, the team's best start since arriving in New Orleans in 1993. Zephyrs pitchers have overpowered Pacific Coast League opponents through the first two weeks, leading the league in ERA, strikeouts and shutouts. The bullpen has been particularly dominant, posting a 6-1 record with a 0.61 ERA, yielding just four earned runs in 58 2/3 innings .

The homestand begins with Mini Madonna and the Mini Popstars taking the Zatarain's Stage after Saturday's 6 p.m. game. It will be Zatarain's Zaturday, with all fans bringing two Zatarain's proofs of purchase receiving two tickets for the price of one, and all fans are invited to play Baseball Bingo, for a chance to win prizes from Treasure Chest Casino.
Bark In The Park, sponsored by Raising Cane's, returns to Zephyr Field on Sunday at 2 p.m. Fans are invited to bring "Man's Best Friend" to the ballpark to enjoy the game on the Levee, where there will be pet vendors, photo opportunities, and a T-shirt giveaway for the first 200 fans bringing their dogs. Half of the proceeds will benefit the LA/SPCA. Scooby Doo will also be on hand to help celebrate Bark In The Park and Coca-Cola Kids Day, and children are invited to meet Scooby and run the bases after the game.
The series continues Monday at 7 p.m. with Senior Citizens Day, offering discounted admission to fans ages 60 and up, and concludes on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
