Winston-Salem Dash News Release

The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:

- OF Adam Engel promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem

- OF Michael Suiter (#8) promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis

Engel shined in his brief stint with the Dash, posting a .327 average (18-for-55) with five RBIs and 15 runs scored in 14 games. He returns to Double-A Birmingham, with whom he hit .170 in his first 26 contests of 2016. A 2015 Year-End Carolina League All-Star, Engel is the fourth-best prospect in the White Sox system, per MLB Pipeline.

During his 11 games with Low-A Kannapolis, Suiter hit .243 (9-for-37) with two RBIs and five runs scored. He returns to the Triad after a midseason tenure with the Dash a year ago. Originally a 24th-round pick by the White Sox in 2014, Suiter was released late in March, but the Sox re-signed him earlier this month.

The Dash's roster remains at the Carolina League maximum of 25 players (plus one on the disabled list).
