Potomac Nationals 2016 Game Notes vs. Salem Red Sox

Potomac Nationals News Release

For the first time in 2016, the Potomac Nationals (22-19) will take on the league leading Salem Red Sox (30-14). The three game series between the top team in the South and the second place team in the North gets underway Tuesday night at Pfitzner Stadium.

Potomac will send RHP Luis Reyes (3-2, 3.29 to the mound to take on Salem RHP Travis Lakins (4-2, 5.12). Last time out, Reyes picked up the victory with a strong six-shutout inning performance at home against the Carolina Mudcats. Lakins, Boston's 6th round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, has given up four or more earned runs in each of his last three starts, after he started the season with six straight starts in which he gave up three or fewer earned runs.

First pitch of the series opener at Pfitzner Stadium is set for 7:05pm in Woodbridge, VA.
