
O'Brien Signs NHL Deal with Ottawa

The Ottawa Senators have signed Belleville Senators forward Jim O'Brien to a two-year, two-way contract for the remainder of the 2017-18 season through 2018-19.
O'Brien is Belleville's leading point scorer this year with 13 goals and 28 points in 55 games.
The 29-year-old was signed to a professional tryout agreement at the start of the season before securing an AHL deal on Oct. 19. He's now parlayed his performance into an NHL contract.
O'Brien has played in 67 career NHL games with Ottawa and New Jersey scoring eight goals and 12 points. He was the 29th overall pick by Ottawa in the 2007 draft.
