Heat Add Goalie C.J. Motte on Pro Tryout

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL's Calgary Flames, announced today that the club has added goaltender C.J. Motte on a professional tryout.
Motte, 26, has been summoned to the AHL two previous times this season with the Chicago Wolves and the Iowa Wild, going 2-2-2 in his six appearances with the Wolves and Wild this season and posting a 2.52 goals-against-average and 0.915 save-percentage. He also recorded his first AHL shutout back on December 18 while with Iowa, stopping all 34 shots he faced against the Cleveland Monsters. The former Hobey Baker Award Finalist as one of the top players in the NCAA back in 2013-14 in in his third full season pro having spent the majority of his time with the Quad City Mallards of the ECHL.
