Adirondack Thunder News Release
Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, have partnered with NYSCOPBA, the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolence Association Inc, to offer a free ticket to all youth hockey players who come to Saturday's game, courtesy of NYSCOPBA.
As a part of NYSCOPBA Night on Saturday, April 2, all youth hockey players can get free admission to the game, thanks to the generosity of NYSCOPBA. Youth Hockey Players can get a free ticket at the Adirondack Thunder offices until 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon and at the game from 4:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. outside the Civic Center at the NYSCOPBA table. All youth hockey family and friends can purchase tickets for $11 to Saturday's game only.
"We'd like to thank NYSCOPBA for their generosity in this promotion and for going above and beyond to make their sponsor night one of our best games of the season," Adirondack Thunder President Brian Petrovek said. "Supporting youth hockey has been one of our biggest commitments this season and the free ticket promotion is the icing on the cake for a late season game as the team battles towards a Kelly Cup playoff berth."
As a part of NYSCOPBA Night, NYSCOPBA is also offering free tickets for all NYSCOPBA corrections officers, redeemable at the NYSCOPBA table outside the arena. In addition, NYSCOPBA will be handing out noise makers at the front doors at Saturday's game and will be bolstering the third period T-Shirt toss, throwing out additional shirts to Thunder fans. NYSCOPBA is also bringing a pep band that will play in the arena during the game, adding additional entertainment to Saturday's in-game experience.
NYSCOPBA represents over 26,000 New York State employees and retirees from the Security Services Unit. Their objectives are to improve the terms and conditions of employment, protect their members' contractual rights, provide high quality representation in the collective bargaining process, communicate effectively with the membership, achieve legislative gains and promote overall welfare of their members.
