The Philadelphia Union advanced to their third Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final in the last five years ... the last time the Union advanced to the U.S. Open Cup Final, they also beat the Chicago Fire in the Semifinals (2015) ... the Union have now won three consecutive games against the Chicago Fire in the 2018 campaign, scoring nine goals ... the three-goal margin of victory was the largest margin in the Union's U.S. Open Cup semifinal history.
Cory Burke scored his fourth and fifth goals in three games across all competitions vs. the Chicago Fire this season ... the Jamaican international now leads the Union with three U.S. Open Cup goals in 2018 and eight goals in all competitions.
In the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Alejandro Bedoya has one goal and a team-high four assists to lead the Union to the final ... Bedoya will now play in his first career Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final.
