July 13, 2022 - Eastern League (EL)
Reading Fightin Phils News Release
NHRA driver Mike Hepp is coming to Baseballtown! The drag racer and activist will make an appearance at FirstEnergy Stadium on Wednesday, July 13 when the Reading Fightin Phils take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7:00 PM.
Hepp will pose for pictures and sign autographs from 5:00-6:30 PM. Hepp's team will display the 4000-horse powered 275 MPH Top Alcohol Dragster at Wednesday's game. His organization, Mike Hepp Racing's eBay Motors Fast Help for Addition Team, will partner with the Fightins to raise awareness and offer resources to fight substance abuse.
Mike Hepp Racing (MHR), founded by Hepp in 2012 and located in Bucks County, is a professional sportsman drag racing team that raises awareness and helps others recover from alcoholism or drug addiction. After six years of sobriety, Hepp decided he'd make a return to drag racing only if he could help others recover from substance abuse in the process. It's the only race team in the country with such a program.
One-in-four people in the United States are affected by alcoholism or drug addiction. MHR helps provide recovery resources like detox inpatient treatment, housing and employment opportunities to help people overcome the epidemic.
The Fightins are proud to partner with Mike Hepp in Baseballtown.
