New York Red Bulls to Face Columbus Crew SC in Eastern Conference Semifinals

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls will face Columbus Crew SC in an Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoff Eastern Conference Semifinal series, as determined by Columbus advancing on penalties in last night's Knockout Round match against D.C. United.

Columbus will host the first leg on Sunday, November 4 at 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish.

New York will host the return leg on Sunday, November 11 at Red Bull Arena, with kickoff time and broadcast information to be determined following the conclusion of the first leg.

The Red Bulls earned the top seed in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs by winning the club's third Supporters' Shield in six seasons with an MLS record 71 points and 22 wins.

New York and Columbus met twice in the regular season, with the Red Bulls earning a 1-1 draw in Columbus in June, and Crew SC taking a 3-2 win at Red Bull Arena in July. The Red Bulls are 0-3 all time in playoff series against Crew SC, most recently falling 2-1 on aggregate in 2015.
