ORLANDO, Fla. (July 18, 2015) - Goals by Sacha Kljestan and Mike Grella along with Luis Robles' 24th career clean sheet propelled New York to a 2-0 victory at expansion-side Orlando City SC in the first meeting between the two clubs Saturday evening at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Kljestan scored his third goal of the season on a rocket from 25 yards out into the upper 90 of the far post. Dax McCarty, a native of Orlando-suburb Winter Park, equaled a career-high with two assists for the second time in as many games to lead the visitors to the victory.

With the win, New York moved back into second place in the Eastern Conference with 29 points (8-6-5). The Red Bulls won for the fourth time in the last five MLS matches.

Orlando would have to play with 10 men for nearly 60 minutes as Cyle Larin was shown a red card for fighting in the 32nd minute. Larin had a hard tackle on Kljestan, which led to the straight red card shown to Larin.

Despite not playing their best soccer of the season, the Red Bulls looked to have a 2-0 advantage in the 37th minute as Damien Perrinelle had an apparent goal on a header from a free kick, but the goal was called off due to a handball called by the referee.

Mike Grella sure there was no late comeback for the Lions - as they have managed on several occasions this season - with a killer solo goal in the 91st minute.

Grella's lone foray down the right wing in stoppage time, beating Orlando City goalkeeper Tally Hall with a low shot across the face of goal to put the final dampener on the night for the home team.

It was Grella's fifth goal of the season - second on the team with Lloyd Sam - behind only Bradley Wright-Phillips.

The Red Bulls return to action Tuesday at Red Bull Arena in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup vs. Philadelphia. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
