New Orleans Pelicans Assign Kira Lewis Jr. and E.J. Liddell to Birmingham Squadron

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Kira Lewis Jr. and forward E.J. Liddell have been assigned to the Birmingham Squadron, the team's NBA G League affiliate.

Lewis Jr., 6-2, 175, has appeared in 15 games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 2.9 points, 1.2 assists and 0.9 rebounds in 9.6 minutes per contest. Lewis Jr. has appeared in 118 games with the Pelicans and holds career averages of 5.4 points, 1.8 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game.

Lewis Jr., who was last assigned to Birmingham on January 5, has appeared in five games for the Squadron this season, averaging 22.0 points, 4.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 steals.

Liddell, 6-6, 242, has appeared in six games for the Pelicans this season, averaging 0.7 points and 0.5 rebounds in 2.8 minutes per contest.

Liddell, who was last assigned to Birmingham on December 26, holds averages of 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in seven games with the Squadron this season.

Both players will be available today for the Squadron's matchup with Raptors 905.
