Squadron Take Down Raptors 905, 108-105, in MLK Day Matinee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Kira Lewis Jr.'s late free throws with 4.2 seconds to go sealed a 108-105 MLK Day victory over Raptors 905 on Monday afternoon at Legacy Arena at the BJCC.

Malcolm Hill, Birmingham's leading scorer on the season, dropped 30 to lead the Squadron. Trey Jemison notched his seventh consecutive double-double and his 11th in the last 13 games with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while assignment player E.J. Liddell recorded the same stat line.

In his first game back in Birminghan, Lewis scored 19 to go along with nine assists. Izaiah Brockington scored 11 off the bench.

All Raptors 905 starters scored at least 16 points, with the team being led by Kevin Obanor's 21. Markquis Nowell recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards.

The Squadron return to the hardwood Thursday as the team hosts the Iowa Wolves, with tip-off from Legacy Arena at the BJCC set for 7 p.m. The game can be seen locally on My68 or nationally on ESPN+.
