Boeheim Scores Career High In Loss

DETROIT - The Motor City Cruise continued their homestand and took on the College Park Skyhawks. College Park bounced back, winning tonight's game 114-101.

College Park came into tonight's game short-handed, missing all three of their two-ways, along with five other inactive players.

Motor City was missing Malcolm Cazalon (left ankle sprain), along with another two-way player, Stanley Umude (two-way assignment).

Buddy Boeheim got going early in tonight's game, scoring 14 of his first 35 points in the first quarter. Boeheim shot 4-5 from beyond the arc in the first quarter and finished tonight's game shooting 9-15 behind the three-point line. His 35 points earns him an NBA G League career high. Jayce Johnson followed up with his fifth double-double of the season (regular season and showcase combined) after scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

After a 26-24 first quarter in favor of Motor City, College Park outscored the Cruise 41-22 in the second quarter and never looked back in the second half. Chris Silva returned to the College Park lineup, leading the Skyhawks with 24 points. He grabbed 12 rebounds to secure a double-double. Kobe Bufkin also secured a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.

The Motor City Cruise fell to 5-4 and the College Park Skyhawks improved to 5-3 in the regular season. The Motor City Cruise will continue their six-game homestand on Wednesday, January 17 to take on the South Bay Lakers at the Wayne State Fieldhouse (Detroit, MI). Tip-off is slated for 11:00a.m. ET.
