
Nelson Hits HR in 5-3 Loss

Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Chattanooga Lookouts fell to the Birmingham Barons, 5-3 in the first game of the final regular season series. In the loss, Mat Nelson hit his third home run of the season. In just eight games, Nelson has three homers and four RBIs.
Chattanooga struck first in the first inning when Blake Dunn scored on a wild pitch. Birmingham seized the lead in the second, but Nelson's home run tied the game up at two.
In the bottom of the fifth Austin Callahan singled and reached second on a sacrifice bunt by Jose Torres. Callahan scored on a Tyler Callihan RBI single to give the Lookouts the 3-2 lead.
The lead did not last long as Birmingham scored two runs in the sixth inning. Tim Elko singled home Wilfred Veras in the eighth to make it 5-3 Barons.
Tomorrow Julian Aguiar takes the mound for Chattanooga, looking to snap the team's eight-game losing streak.
