SPRINGDALE, AR - On Friday, July 27, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals wore special pink jerseys that were silently auctioned off throughout the game. The Naturals raised a grand total of $5,250 through a silent auction to benefit the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Ozark Affiliate. Bidding for the game-worn jerseys started at $50 with bids raising in $10 increments. Alex McClure's jersey went for over $300, the highest overall bid.

"We thrilled to be helping out the local Susan G. Komen affiliate," said Eric Edelstein, Northwest Arkansas general manager. "We take pride in helping with community projects and teaming up with local non-profits. Working with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, is something we are honored to do and love to be a part of here at Arvest Ballpark."

The silent auction took place on the concourse throughout the game with bids closing once the final out was recorded in the bottom of the sixth inning. All proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Ozark affiliate. The Ozark Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Proceeds go toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women.

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale.
