Naturals Announce 2015 Additions to Arvest Ballpark
April 14, 2015 - Texas League (TL1)
Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
SPRINGDALE, AR - The Naturals will return to Arvest Ballpark on Thursday, April 16 to begin the home portion of the 2015 baseball season against the Midland RockHounds at 6:05pm. The home opener will give fans the first opportunity to see the prospect-laden roster, as well as some recent ballpark additions that have been made to enhance the overall fan experience.
"The eighth season of Naturals Baseball at Arvest Ballpark is upon us and we are ready to reopen the gates and show fans of all ages some of the work we continue to put into this great facility," said Naturals General Manager Justin Cole.
A sure bet to be a fan favorite is the new 5-hole Bella Vista POA Mini Golf Course that will be added next to the Kansas City Royals Kids Zone. There will also be new picnic tables and custom seating added near the Kids Zone, Jack Link's Jerky Berm, and in front of The Sweet Spot concession stand in Left Field.
These new additions will go along with the items that were added to the ballpark in advance of the 2014 season. The most highly anticipated addition was the Ballpark-wide Wi-Fi that was made available to fans last year, allowing them to stay connected to their favorite websites and social networks during the game. The Naturals also created a fountain made from local rock and stone on the landing near the main gates that can be seen as fans enter the ballpark. The Walmart Game Room Suite, the Naturals' Kids Train presented by Truity Credit Union, and the resurfaced Wiffle Ball Field, dubbed 'Little Arvest Ballpark' have all been popular with fans.
5-Hole Mini Golf Course
The 5-Hole Mini Golf Course is presented by Bella Vista POA and is the newest addition to the Kansas City Royals Kids Zone. The mini golf course will be located adjacent to the inflatable area located behind the Bud Light Bullpen Café. The 5-Hole Mini Golf Course will give fans the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf during a night of baseball this year at Arvest Ballpark.
Enhanced Grill Carts, NEW Food Items, & Premium Seating in Left & Right Field
The Naturals, along with Patina Restaurant Group, have made enhancements to the Grill Carts found along the concourse at Arvest Ballpark. Each cart will feature a different made-to-order item for Naturals fans. One (1) Grill Cart will feature specialty burgers including the Texas League Squealer and the Juicy Lucy. Another Grill Cart will feature Philly Cheesesteaks as well as Chicken Cheesesteaks. Lastly, the Johnsonville Sausage and Brat Grill Cart will feature Johnsonville Brats and sausages throughout the season; highlighted by Johnsonville Buck-A-Brat every Tuesday night.
The Naturals have also added some custom seating in front of The Sweet Spot to go along with the custom seating added to the area near the Bullpen BBQ and Craft Beer Corner in advance of last year. The custom seating in the two (2) concessions areas features the Naturals' crown logo and will create additional areas for fans to be able to eat and watch the game.
Back by popular demand is The Sweet Spot, where fans can find the World Famous Funnel Dog, Ice Cream Sundaes, Shakes, Fried Oreos, Fried Snickers, Cotton Candy, Fried Ice Cream, and so much more.
The Craft Beer Corner continues to add a special dimension to the Bullpen BBQ in Right Field. Throughout the ballpark on a given night there will be 50 different beers available including 2 gluten free beers, 5 different wines, and multiple ciders. The Naturals will also have two (2) custom Baggo sets available to fans to enjoy while in the area this season.
Stay tuned throughout the year to our electronic menu boards that are now located in every concession stand at Arvest Ballpark to keep you updated on new menu items and upcoming promotions during the year.
Ballpark WiFi
The ballpark-wide WiFi was made available to fans prior to the 2014 season. The ballpark currently has twenty-eight (28) different access points throughout that will provide FREE Cox high speed internet access, allowing fans to stay connected to their favorite websites, social networking sites, and all things Naturals while at the game.
Little Arvest Ballpark
Kids and families enjoying the Kansas City Royals Kids Zone will see continued improvement to the wiffle ball field 'Little Arvest Ballpark' during the 2015 season. Last season, the Naturals enhanced the area with over 3500 square feet of artificial turf with base pads built in. The field will also come complete with an outfield fence for the young hitters to showcase their home run power.
