Nationals Pitcher Jordan Zimmerman To Start Tonight At Harry Grove Stadium

Frederick, MD - Washington Nationals rookie starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman will make a rehab start at Harry Grove Stadium tonight for the Potomac Nationals who take on the Frederick Keys at 7:00 p.m.

Zimmerman, 23, made his major league debut on April 20th after rising quickly through the minors in 2008. He began the 2008 campaign with Potomac and dominated the Carolina League going 3-1 with a 1.65 ERA in five appearances prior to a promotion to Double-A Harrisburg.

He debuted in the big leagues this April 20th, getting the win at home against the Atlanta Braves. Zimmerman is 3-5 with a 4.63 ERA in 16 starts with Washington in 2009. He is rehabbing from right elbow discomfort felt in his last start against Chicago (NL) on July 18th.

It will also be Rollback Night at Harry Grove Stadium with $1 Hot Dogs, $1 Pepsi products and $1 Popcorn. 80's Cover Band 9 Lives will be performing in the courtyard. Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
