From the Notes

Ten and Looking for Eleven: The Sounds are on a season-best 10-game winning streak. It's second longest winning streak for the franchise in the Pacific Coast League era (1998-present). The longest winning streak for the Sounds in the PCL era is 15 games from June 2-20, 1999. Nashville has outscored its opponents 61-29 during the 10-game stretch.

Suspended Game: The Sounds and Sky Sox resume their suspended game from May 3 with the Sounds on top 14-6 through eight innings. All statistics will be back-dated to May 3. The result will not affect any current streaks. The game will be resumed at 6:00 p.m. followed by the regularly scheduled game at 7:40 p.m.

That's Offensive: The Sounds set a number of team and individual season-highs in their 18-9 win last night. Their 18 runs and 19 hits were each season-highs. The 18 runs were the most scored in a game since they scored 19 on July 16, 2016 at El Paso in a 19-5 win. The 19 hits were the most since they tallied 19 at Fresno on May 18, 2017.

Highs in the Altitude: A number of Sounds set or matched career-highs last night in Colorado Springs. BJ Boyd drove in a career-high six runs and hit his third career grand slam. Dustin Fowler matched a career-high with three runs. Steve Lombardozzi matched a career-high with three walks. Sheldon Neuse set a career-high with four hits and matched a career-high with three runs. Beau Taylor matched a career-high with three runs.

Quadruple Double: Last night Sheldon Neuse set a new career-high with four hits. Dustin Fowler also chimed in with four hits. It was the second time this season the Sounds had two players with four hits in the same game. Ramón Laureano and Jorge Mateo each collected four hits on July 24 at Las Vegas.

Nine is Fine: It didn't matter that the Sounds allowed nine runs in last night's game as they still came out victorious. The nine runs given up matched a season-high for runs allowed in a victory. The Sounds also yielded nine runs at Oklahoma City in a 10-9 win on June 28.

Gilda's Club Middle TN (@GildasClubMidTN)

The Nashville Sounds recently celebrated Gilda's Club Middle Tennessee with a Gilda's Night, during which $1500 was raised to support our program. We can't express how important efforts like these are - and how grateful we feel. Thank you, @SoundsCommunity and @NashvilleSounds!
