
Hernandez Keys Chasers 3rd Straight Shutout in 2-0 Win

ROUND ROCK, TX (August 10) - Arnaldo Hernandez didn't allow a baserunner until the 6th inning, and the Storm Chasers collected their 3rd consecutive shutout and 4th straight victory as they edged Round Rock 2-0 on Friday night at Dell Diamond.
Omaha took the lead in the top of the 2nd, as Donnie DeWees walked, stole 2nd, and scored on a single by Jack Lopez .
Hernandez (W, 3-1) made that lead hold up through 7 stellar innings. He carred a Perfect Game into the bottom of the 6th, retiring the first 17 batters he faced. Hernandez allowed 2 total hits, while striking out 4 and walking none.
Chris Rowley (L, 0-3) took a tough-luck loss for Round Rock. He yielded only 1 run on 1 hit in 7 frames, with 3 strikeouts and 4 walks.
Blaine Boyer tossed a scoreless 8th inning, and the Chasers padded their lead in the top of the 9th. Nicky Lopez singled, Frank Schwindel extended his hitting streak to 17 games with a single, and Cam Gallagher brougth Lopez home with a safety squeeze, making it 2-0 Omaha.
Boyer recorded the first two outs in the 9th, and Richard Lovelady (S, 6) notched the final out, giving Omaha another victory and a 29-consecutive-inning scoreless streak.
The Storm Chasers (54-62) will continue the series at Dell Diamond tomorrow at 6:05. LHP Jake Kalish (5-5, 3.39) will face Round Rock's RHP Adrian Sampson (5-4, 4.33).
