BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Miami Marlins announced a transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's game against the Birmingham Barons at Regions Field at 8:05 p.m.

Left-handed relief pitcher Greg Nappo has been transferred from the Suns to Triple-A New Orleans. Nappo made two relief appearances with Jacksonville, not allowing any runs in two and two-thirds innings on the mound with no wins or losses.

Nappo, originally selected by the Marlins in the 18th round of the 2011 draft, spent most of last season with High-A Jupiter but also pitched in two games for the Zephyrs in Triple-A.

The Suns roster now stands at 24, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns will go for the series win Friday night at 8:05 p.m. ET from Regions Field, with the Suns trotting out right-hander Angel Sanchez (0-1, 12.00) for game three of this five-game series with the Barons. Birmingham is scheduled to send lefty Scott Snodgress (0-1, 36.00) to the bump in Friday's ballgame.

Suns fans can listen to Friday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or throughwww.jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 7:50 p.m. ET with the Memorial Hospital Suns Pregame Show.
