
Nailers Trade Cummings to Augusta for Moore

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that forward Brian Cummings has been traded to the Augusta Lynx for defenseman Mark Moore.
Moore will rejoin the Nailers for the third time in his professional career. Moore, a seventh round selection of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, played 20 games for the Nailers in the 2000-2001 season. He also played for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and the Charlotte Checkers that season. Last season Moore played 66 games for the Nailers scoring 22 points on six goals and 16 assists. Moore began the 2002-2003 season with the Augusta Lynx and appeared in 15 games with two assists and 22 penalty minutes. Moore, a 6'4" native of Thornhill, ONT, will join the Nailers for their two games this weekend.
Cummings began his professional career at the end of the 2000-2001 season with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Last season he played for the Dayton Bombers and Syracuse in his first full professional season. Cummings joined the Nailers for the 2002-2003 season and appeared in all 19 games for the Nailers, scoring eight points on two goals and six assists while racking up 23 penalty minutes.
The Nailers next home game is Thursday, November 28, Thanksgiving night against the Johnstown Chiefs at 7:00p.m. The first 1,500 fans age 14 and under will receive a school binder courtesy of The Intelligencer and Wheeling News Register.
