Augusta Lynx News Release

Augusta, GA - The Augusta Lynx have been very busy this week spreading the "Hat Trick For Life" message of "Say No to Drugs, Stay in School, and Always Believe in Yourself".

Lynx Defenseman Darryl Laplante spent both Monday and Tuesday afternoons with school children from Evans Middle School and Collins Elementary School. The "Hat Trick for Life" presentation was given to roughly 700 children over the two days.

On Wednesday, Goaltender Geoffrey Faulkner and Winger Jeff Szwez took the afternoon to read to school children at Euchee Creek Elementary as a part of their reading program.

The Lynx would like to extend the opportunity to any school interested in having the "Hat Trick for Life" presented to your school. Lynx players and personnel are committed to being a vital part of the community and are willing to participate whenever requested. Please contact the Lynx Community Relations Department at 724-4423 for more information.
