
Nailers Set for Three Game Weekend

WHEELING, WV- After starting the 2012-13 regular season with one game last weekend, the schedule ramps up this coming weekend, as the Wheeling Nailers will play three games in as many nights, battling the Elmira Jackals and Reading Royals. In their lone game last weekend, the Nailers were able to secure one point, before dropping a 3-2 decision in a shootout against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Chris Barton and Paul Crowder both picked up one goal and one assist, while Patrick Killeen made 28 saves in goal.
This coming weekend is all about the Atlantic Division for the Nailers, as they will play the Elmira Jackals on Friday and Saturday at First Arena, before traveling to Sovereign Center for a Sunday afternoon showdown with the Reading Royals. The Jackals and Royals have gone in opposite directions to start the season, which began with their head-to-head battle last Friday. Elmira skated away with a 3-2 victory, before steaming past Greenville 7-1 the following night, as they enter the weekend with a 2-0-0-0 record. Following the 3-2 loss in the opener, Reading came up on the short end of two straight games against Trenton, falling by scores of 6-2 and 3-1, as they enter the weekend with a mark of 0-3-0-0.
