
Komets Add Defenseman Colten Hayes

Fort Wayne, IN ---The Komets announced Thursday that defensemen Colten Hayes has been added to the roster. Also, forward Cory Schneider and defenseman Jeremy Gates have been placed on waivers.
Hayes, 22, made his pro debut last year in the ECHL skating stints with Stockton and Reading and posted totals of three goals and 23 points in 48 games over the 2011-12 ECHL campaign.
Schneider appeared in both Komet preseason games scoring one assist and four shots. Gates skated one preseason Komet game and the Fort Wayne home opener last Friday against Kalamazoo.
The Komets will make their first of 10 trips this season to Kalamazoo Friday for a 7:30pm faceoff at Wings Stadium. The Komets return home to host the Evansville IceMen Saturday at 7:30pm at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
