Nailers Announce Playoff Roster

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL have announced their playoff roster for the upcoming Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Nailers are the ECHL affiliate for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Each ECHL team can designate 23 players to its postseason roster. There are no additions that can be made to this list unless an emergency situation arises. The only players that can be utilized in those circumstances are those who completed the season with amateur standing.

For the Kelly Cup playoffs, the Nailers will use 13 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goaltenders. The breakdown of players and positions is located at the bottom of this release.

The thirteen forwards have 482 games of ECHL experience this season and have contributed 168 goals and 265 assists for 433 points.

The eight defensemen have 314 games in the ECHL this season and collected 128 points on 25 goals and 103 assists.

The goaltending tandem of Brown and Darling was 35-26-8 in 2008-09.

Billy Ryan, Curtis Darling, Chris Snavely, Chase Watson, Jason Payne, Chris Margott, Erik Johnson,

Scott Kalinchuk, Bryan Ewing, Jordan Morrison, Reid Cashman, David Brown, Tommy Goebel,

Tomas Klempa,Jonathan Ralph, Todd Spencer, Rob Sirianni Aaron Clarke.

The Cincinnati Cyclones play host to the Nailers on Thursday night (April 9) and Friday night (April 10) at 7:30pm at U.S. Bank Arena.
