
Condors announce playoff roster

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced their 2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs roster. The roster includes 14 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.
Forwards Bailey, Jason Bolt, Bobby (3-IR) Bonk, Dave (3-IR) Derlago, Mark Graham, Bruce Huculak, Liam Ianiero, Andrew Kronschnabel, Charlie (IOW) LaPointe, Danny Michel, Tylor Painchaud, Chad Pilkington, Brett Pope, Matt (MTB) Wirll, Mike
Defenseman Balan, Scotty Grover, Donny Kaufman, Chris (7-IR) Langager, Jay Mahrle, Ryan Morrow, Thomas Thomas, Andrew
Goaltenders Fukufuji, Yutaka Kaufmann, Jerad
RW Chad Painchaud and D Andrew Thomas have both rejoined the team from the Iowa Chops in the American Hockey League. They were added to the playoff roster, as were two additional players that remain in the AHL - C Charlie Kronschnabel and F Matt Pope. Three players are on injured reserve, indicated above. The playoff roster allows for two 3-IR slots and one 7-IR. Notes from The Nest: The Condors will open the 2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs this weekend when they travel to Las Vegas for a two-game set at Orleans Arena. Games 1 and 2 of the series will be this Friday and Saturday, with 7:30 p.m. start times.
Bakersfield will host Games 3, 4 and 5 (if necessary) of the best-of-seven series on April 15, 17 and 18. The Pacific Division Semi-Finals are sponsored by KGET-TV 17, Goodwill Industries and Cal Water. Game 3, on April 15, will feature White Hot White Out Playoff Rally Towel Giveaway for everyone in attendance. Fans are encouraged to wear white, and along with the white rally towels, bring a bit of a chill to the visiting Wranglers. Also, AT&T Yellow Pages will be on hand to collect old phone books for recycling. Anyone donating a phone book for recycling will receive $3 off their admission for the game that night.
On Friday, April 17, the first 2,000 kids, 12-and-under, will receive a Condors mini light-up fan for Game 4 of the semi-finals. Game 5, if necessary, will be on Saturday, April 18, and everyone will get a White Out Rally Towel while supplies last!
Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be back in Vegas on April 21 and 22, with 7:30 p.m. start times. Each round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs are best-of-seven.
Individual playoff game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10am - 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am - 4pm on Saturday with extended hours on game days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or at any Ticketmaster location.
