Musketeers Pull out 3-2 Overtime Win in Omaha

Lancer forward Nathan Krusko scored his 9th goal of the season at 8:13 of the first to give Omaha a 1-0 lead that would stick until Teemu Pulkkinen put in his 11th of the season to tie the game at 15:47 of the 2nd period. Jackson Keane picked up his 7th goal of the season to give the Musketeers a 2-1 lead at 17:03 of the 2nd.

Omaha's Austin Lemieux scored his first USHL goal to tie the game for Omaha at the 9:15 mark of the third. The Lemieux tally would be the last for either team in regulation play.

Omaha would take a penalty with just over 4 minutes left in the overtime, giving the Musketeers a 4 on 3 power play that Ian Scheid would capitalize on, giving the Musketeers a 3-2 overtime win and two crucial points in the USHL Standings.

The Musketeers continue their extended January road swing on Friday, January 22nd when they head to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the Stars for the second time in just over a week. The teams last met on Thursday, January 14th, with the Musketeers taking that game by a score of 3-1.

The road trek continues in Dubuque on Friday, January 29th when the team heads to Dubuque, Iowa for their first game against the Fighting Saints this season at the Mystique Community Ice Center this year. Saturday, January 30th has the Musketeers in Des Moines for a 7:35pm game against the Buccaneers, before the team returns to the Tyson Events Center for their first home game in almost 4 weeks when they host the Waterloo Black Hawks for a 3pm game on Sunday, January 31st.
