Muskegon's Todd Robinson and Clayton Pool earn monthly honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Monday that Muskegon Fury center Todd Robinson has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month and Muskegon Fury goaltender Clayton Pool has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Month for November.

Robinson completed the month with 24 points (11g, 13a) and a plus-8 rating in 13 games played. He had a ten-game point streak during the month and scored a point in 11 of the 13 games. He registered multiple points in seven games including four assists on November 18th during the 6-5 win vs. Quad City. The four assists tied a league season high. He netted a "hat trick" (3g) on November 5th vs. Port Huron, then scored another "hat trick" one week later vs. Port Huron. During one stretch of five victories for Muskegon, Robinson netted the game-winning goal in four of them. He also scored a shorthanded goal in three straight games and finished with four shorthanded goals during the month. The 28-year-old native of Trail, British Columbia leads the UHL in scoring with 45 points (18g, 27a). It is the second consecutive month that he has earned UHL Player of the Month honors.

Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month include: Bloomington left wing Mathieu Brunelle, Chicago defenseman Chris Busby, Elmira right wing Brent Cullaton, Flint defenseman Gerard Miller, Fort Wayne defenseman Mario Larocque, Kalamazoo left wing Nick Bootland, Port Huron center Ryan Markham, Quad City forward Don Parsons, and Rockford center Preston Mizzi.

Pool finished the month with an 8-1-0 record, a 1.67 goals against average (GAA), a .943 save percentage (SPCT), and one shutout. He had not lost this season until November 23rd after beginning the year on an 11-game win streak. He has not allowed more than three goals in a game all season and allowed more than two just once in November. He stopped all 26 shots on November 10th vs. Flint to record his first shutout of the season. Pool has yet to lose a game on the road this season compiling an 8-0-0 record and a 1.89 GAA. The 28-year-old native of Abbotsford, British Columbia leads all UHL goaltenders in wins (13), GAA (2.00), and SPCT (.932). He ranks third in minutes played (898:27) and ranks fifth in saves (412).
