Mudcats and Cannon Ballers Suspended Friday Night

ZEBULON, N.C. - Tonight's game between the Carolina Mudcats and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers was suspended due to heavy rain at Five County Stadium. The scoreless game will now resume beginning in the third inning on Saturday afternoon as part of a de facto doubleheader at 5:00 p.m. in Zebulon.
Friday's scheduled game will be played in its entirety, through the ninth and beyond if needed when it resumes on Saturday at Five County Stadium. The second game of Saturday's, single-admission, de facto doubleheader will be a doubleheader shortened seven-inning game.
Carolina's Souvenir Saturday plans will go on as planned with the souvenir giveaway - a replica of Carolina's new black jersey - scheduled for distribution beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium. The stadium gates will open at 4:00 p.m. The souvenir giveaway will be handed out to the first 1,000 fans with paid admission.
Fans with tickets to Friday's game may exchange their tickets for tickets of comparable value, and comparable seating, to a future regular season home game at Five County Stadium (excluding July 4).
