Mudbugs Look for a Win on Military Appreciation Night

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Following their first two victories of the season, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will try to make it three straight on Saturday night at CenturyTel Center against the Austin Ice Bats. The game will also be The Mudbugs' annual military appreciation night, and there will be a number of great events going on.
With Veteran's Day coming up on Sunday, November 11th, the Mudbugs will honor the men and women serving in our nation's armed forces on Saturday with a military appreciation night. war veteran Mike McCrary, a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient, will be dropping the ceremonial first puck before the game. The team will be wearing specialty camouflage jerseys sponsored by McKay Consulting that will be auctioned off immediately following the contest.
Don't forget that Saturday is also the second game of the Mudbugs food drive in conjunction with P.O.D.S. and the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank. Bring non-perishable food items to the games on Saturday and next Tuesday to help the Mudbugs fill up the P.O.D.S. storage units located outside the CenturyTel Center with food to help benefit the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank.
In addition to the jersey auction after the game, the Mudbugs will also be hosting a public skating session. Admission is $6.00 and can be purchased at the Mudbugs information table at the CenturyTel Center 's main entrance.
Finally, after the events at CenturyTel, join the Mudbugs for a post-game party at Buffalo Wild Wings on the Louisiana Boardwalk. Mudbugs players will be on hand to sign autographs and mingle with fans at Buffalo Wild Wings, the official post-game headquarters of Mudbug Nation. So come on out Saturday night for the Mudbugs vs. the Ice Bats and Military Appreciation night!
