Scorpions Playhouse On Display

November 9, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
New Mexico Scorpions News Release

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-The New Mexico Scorpions and Habitat for Humanity have teamed up to build a Scorpions playhouse. One lucky fan will win this playhouse December 15 during the Chuck-A-Puck promotion.

The Scorpions themed playhouse will be on display in Rio Rancho at the Bank of Albuquerque beginning this Saturday. The branch is located at 3901 Southern Blvd. SE, just West of Rio Rancho Blvd.

The house was originally built by the Scorpions staff, players, Stingerz and Habitat for Humanity volunteers at the Coronado Mall a few weekends ago. Without everybody chipping in, this unique playhouse, valued at over $7,000 would have never been built.

Anyone interested has a chance to win the house when the Scorpions host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on December 15. A special Chuck-A-Puck promotion for the December 15 game will debut over the next week. All proceeds from the promotion will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Fans have two chances to see the Scorpions on home ice this weekend. Friday night the Amarillo Gorillas will visit the Santa Ana Star Center. The first 1,500 people through the gates will receive Scorps Trading Cards courtesy of Turtle Mountain Brewing Company.

Saturday the Scorpions will host their rivals from Arizona on Cibola High School Night. Following the game head to Turtle Mountain Brewing Company for an all ages post-game party. Both games drop the puck at 7:15 p.m.

Call the Scorpions' office at (505) 881-PUCK (7825) or visit http://www.scorpionshockey.com to find out how you can be a part of real hockey...rio entertainment. You don't want to miss your chance to watch the Scorpions drive toward the Ray Miron President's Cup.
