Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors have a pair of games this weekend, with Friday night at home and Saturday night on the road in Las Vegas. Friday's game starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Rabobank Arena.

On Friday night, the first 2,000 fans will get a free Condors Mr. Potato Head, sponsored by 98.5 The Fox and Barber Honda. For the first time in his 52-year history, Hasbro's Mr. Potato Head will don the jersey of a professional hockey team, and he chose the Condors. He also comes with accessories including skates, a stick, and different sets of headgear and eyes.

"We're happy to be graced by the presence of a legend," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "The Condors will forever be a part of the storied history of Mr. Potato Head.

The Condors hold a four-point lead over fifth- place Fresno in the West Division, with four games remaining on the schedule. They sit in a second- place tie with Long Beach and Idaho is in fourth, just one point behind the Condors and Ice Dogs. Bakersfield's magic number to clinch is three - any combination of Condors wins and Fresno losses. A win against the Falcons on Friday would mean the Condors needed just one more win or one more Falcons loss to lock up one of the four playoff spots in the division.

Friday is also the final DARE Night of the season. All students graduating from the recent session of DARE received complimentary terrace tickets to Friday's game, courtesy of the Holiday Inn Select.

The Condors game in Vegas on Saturday night starts at 7:00 p.m. and can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, and also viewed online through the B2 Networks. Log on to www.bakersfieldcondors.com to view the B2 Networks feed.

Tonight at the Holiday Inn Select is the Condors Coach's Show from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. The Coach's Show takes place every Thursday night and can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230. This week's show features Condors Assistant Coach Paul Willett and defenseman Ryan Gillis.

The Condors play their final road game of the season on Saturday night, when they travel to Las Vegas to wrap up that series. They return home to host Idaho on the final weekend of the season next Friday and Saturday night. Dora the Explorer makes her Rabobank Arena debut for Friday's game, sponsored by Bright House Networks and KLLY 95.3. On Saturday night, one fan will win a home makeover patio giveaway from Sunshine Sunroom and Patio, sponsored by KKET-TV 11 and KUZZ 107.9.
