Florida Everblades Booster Club Top Notch
March 31, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
Victoria, BC â The Victoria Salmon Kings would like to recognize and thank the Florida Everblades Booster Club for their inexhaustible hospitality on our recent road trip to West Florida.
After a 3413 mile trek, we were greeted with a warm Florida welcome at just after midnight by the Caravan. Our gear was loaded into the vast assortment of vehicles, and delivered to the hotel in Bonita Bay. All the time our hosts were devoted to searching for food for our hungry players.
The Boosters set up rental vans and then returned them for us after the first game when we left Florida for New Orleans, with boxes of non-perishable food, water and sports drinks.
Upon returning to the Fort Myers area a week later we were once again greeted at the airport and once again delivered to our hotel this time the Boosters had packed sandwiches, chips, drinks and cookies. The organization and dedication the folks of Fort Myers gave to the Victoria Salmon Kings Hockey Club was first class.
It made a long and arduous road trip, a much smoother ride than the flight back to Seattle via Chicago, once again with help of the Booster Club. They delivered our gear to the airport and returned the team rental vans, before day break on Easter Sunday.
The Florida Everblades have done a tremendous job cultivating a passionate fan base in Florida and the generosity of their Booster Club was received with a tremendous amount of gratitude.
The Victoria Salmon Kings would also to thank the whole Florida Everblades organization, including Craig Brush, Gerry Fleming, Big John and the training staff.
