
Mike Sgroi Returns to Nailers

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have reassigned forward Mike Sgroi to the Nailers.
Sgroi, 26, signed with the Nailers during training camp this season and appeared in one game with the Nailers, recording one assist and five penalty minutes. He was called up to Wilkes-Barre of the AHL, and signed a PTO contract on October 30th.
He appeared in 39 games for Wilkes-Barre this season recording one goal and one assist, while racking up 122 penalty minutes.
The 6'5" 235 pound native of Toronto, ONT is in his fourth professional season, after playing the last two seasons for Utah in the AHL. In Utah he recorded three goals and four assists with 211 penalty minutes in 67 games.
