Charlotte Checkers News Release

CHARLOTTE, NC – On Saturday, April 9th at 7:00 p.m. the Checkers are playing what potentially could be their final regular season game at Cricket Arena.

In celebration of their final regular season game, the Charlotte Checkers are throwing a big post game blast. Charity Case, the band started by ACE of KISS 95.1's ACE & TJ Morning show, will rock the Arena with their 100th performance and it will all be for charity.

This one night only game and show at Cricket Arena will benefit ACE & TJ'S GRIN KIDS, a 501c3 charity started by KISS 95.1's morning show ACE & TJ. Celebrating it's sixth year, the charity was designed to enhance the lives of children who are chronically handicapped and terminally ill. Over 100 families have traveled to Walt Disney World for the trip of a lifetime all paid for by the charity.

April 9th will prove to be a momentous occasion for both the Checkers and for their fans. They will be able to enjoy a concert immediately following the game by Charity Case, a band that has raised over $200,000 for these special kids.
